George & Mable Morgan
1928 - 2019George Adolph Morgan, 89, of Cheboygan, MI,
passed away on January 8, 2018. He was born to the
late Mary (Anderson) Morgan and George Morgan
on February 14, 1928.
Mable Dean Morgan, 95, of Cheboygan, MI ,
passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. She was born to the
late Mary (Woodfin) Sanford and Ralph Sanford on June 11, 1922.
George’s family was always his first priority, He took great pride in caring
for them, and spent many weeks every year camping and backpacking with
his family, Having his child or grandchild on his lap, or playing checkers,
always brought smiles. So did his wife’s cinnamon rolls,
Family and friends were Mable’s love and joy. She enjoyed time spent and
talks with all her friends, and was loved by all that met her. She spent her
free time baking, and her specialties were cinnamon rolls and lemon
meringue pie. Mable enjoyed decorating cakes, always for the enjoyment
of others, a hobby she shared with her daughter, Linda.
Mable and George moved to Cheboygan in 1995 from California. They
enjoyed their home overlooking Mullett Lake in Cheboygan, as well as
many years of wood carving with Mackinaw Wood Carvers Club. They
were members of St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Cheboygan, where they
had many beloved friends.
They are survived by:
their children Linda (Earl) McCollom of Redondo Beach, CA;
Dennis (Teresa) Morgan of San Pedro, CA; and
Craig (Kim) Morgan of Cheboygan, MI and
sister Mae Brehmer of Litchfield, MN.
They also leave behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren, their
greatest pride and happiness.
They were preceded in death by:
their parents, as well as
sons Lee Lewis and Ron Lewis.
A celebration of Mable and George’s lives with take place in summer of
2018. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for them over the
past few years. You have loved our mom/grandma and dad/grandpa/papa
in a way that has touched us all. There ARE angels among us.
