Hawks, Michigan, passed away peacefully, surrounded by
his family on September 8, 2009 at Saint Mary’s Hospital

Jerry was born on April 24, 1932. He grew up in the Standish area before enlisting

After grieving the loss of his first wife, Jerry found renewed happiness with his
second wife, Eileen (Wyatt) Burns of Standish. They were blessed with two
wonderful years of marriage.
Jerry enjoyed playing the guitar, motorcycling, camping, hunting, fishing and
spending time with his family. He was a great adventurer and enjoyed making
everyone laugh with his wonderful “truc” stories. Jerry was a committed follower
of Christ and even though his family is saddened by his passing, they rejoice in
knowing they will see him again!
