Gilbert Gentry

1942 - 2017

Our beloved Gibert Trees Gentry passed away suddenly
on August 31st at the age of 75 in Petoskey, MI,

Gil was born on July 30, 1942 to Lucy and Richard Gentry. He grew
up in Winfield, Kansas and spent many years in Haslett, Michigan
before retiring to Madeira Beach, Florida, Gil was president of Cox
North America before retiring in Florida.

Gil was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and uncle. In addition to
boating and golfing, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Gil was a generous man and a perfect gentleman in every aspect, He was
kind, he had a great sense of humor, he was loads of fun, and he was
always on the go. His talents were many, but above all he was a
natural handyman, He never met a project or challenge he couldn’t tackle.
When help was needed, he was always there to lend a hand.

Surviving is the light of his life, his wife of 28 years, Pam. Also surviving
are five children: Matt Gentry, Amanda Hunn, Kelly Knapp, Rob (Carissa)
Knapp, Jeff (Dora) Knapp and five grandchildren, brother Darrell
(Cheryl) Gentry, sister Gayle Gentry Bishop, in-laws: Dick Bennett,
Kathie (Joe) Drolett, Carolyn (Gary) Wood, Chris (Ed) Belknap, and
Bev (Jay) Fink, dozens of adoring nieces and nephews, and more friends
than you could count.

Funeral Mass wil be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church in
Seminole, FL on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of
flowers, donations can be made to the Sparrow Cancer Center or the
hospice of your choice.
