Gladys Centala

1924 - 2011

Gladys Irene “Dude” Centala age 87 of Rogers City,
passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at
Tendercare Health Center in Rogers City

She was born February 20, 1924 in Ossineke
to John and Emma (Fletcher) Spencer

Dude worked at Kortman’s Restaurant and Jason’s Gaslight Lounge for many years.
She will be remembered for providing some of the best smoked fish in the area and
for the love she gave as a grandma helper in our elementary school.

Mrs. Centala is survived by:
5 children, Charles (Gloria) Centala of Kirkland, Washington,
Joan (Michael) Erickson of Rogers City, Michael Centala of Monroe,
Sue (John) Buczkowski of Grand Lake, and Richard Centala of Allegan;
19 grandchildren;
28 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by:
her husband, Charles;
son, Walter; and
daughter, Diane Hein

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Thursday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m.
where the rosary will be recited at 6:30 followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 until 10:30.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Catholic Church by
Reverend Bob Malloy at 11:00 a.m. Friday.

Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
