Glenn Lyon

Glenn Roy Lyon age 88 of Conway passed away peacefully at home on January 24, 2024.

He was born in Onaway on August 27, 1935 to Fred and Hilda (Cotton) Lyon.

On February 22, 1993 he married Marjorie Schoolcraft in Plant City, Florida. Glenn retired from the Emmet County Sheriff’s Department in 1999 after 30 years in law enforcement. He was an avid reader and also enjoyed hunting, fishing and throwing darts.

Glenn is survived by his wife of almost 31 years, Marjorie; three children, Bruce (Brenda) Lyon of Alanson, Donna Magill of Alanson and Jeffry Lyon of Arizona; two grandchildren, Todd (Nicole) Magill and Charles Lyon; two great grandchildren, Kaylee and Avery; two step-children, Russell (Lisa) Hayner of Gaylord and Robyn Tucker of Waters; eight step-grandchildren, Christopher (Sharon) Hayner, Brandon Garner, Nicole (Chad) Samkowiak, Courtney (Abe) Jacobs, Jeffrey Nash, Drew Nash, Zach Hayner and Caylee Tucker; and seven great step-grandchildren, CJ, Ryker, Mason, Harper, Colon, Aiden and Hazel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Hilda; a son, Keith; his sister, Barbara and his brother, Sidney.

Private services will take place at a later date.
