Harold Betka

Harold Anthony Betka age 87 of Benton Township passed away January 1, 2023 at Medilodge in
Cheboygan.

He was born July 15, 1935 in Ludington to Lawrence and Mary (Crean) Betka.

Harold is survived by sisters, Charlotte Betka, Barbara Cobb (Betka); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by father, Lawrence; mother, Marie; wife, Ann; brother, Donald; brother-in-law, Leroy Cobb; sister-in-law, Elsa Betka; nephew, Patrick Betka; and niece Dorothy Batayneh.

After serving in the U.S. Army, Harold worked as an engineer for Abbot Labs developing medical equipment. He was passionate about his antique cars and restored multiple award-winning vehicles. Harold found love with Ann, a high school classmate, after retirement. Together they traveled the country in their RV and were inseparable. Harold passed on to be with the Lord in his own style; quietly, without fanfare in his sleep.
