Harry Nowicki

1916 - 2010

Harry Nowicki age 94 of Belknap Township
passed away September 13, 2010 at Orchard Care Home

He was born May 17, 1916 in Pulawski Township
to Joseph and Bernice (Kapalla) Nowicki

Harry’s main occupation was working the family farm. He also worked at Farley
Fence Co., and he and his late wife, Lucille, owned and operated Pioneer Dairy in
Posen. Harry was known for his strawberries, his carpentry skills, and for taking care
of the flowers and grounds of St. Dominic Catholic Church where he was a member.
Mr. Nowicki was a member of the Posen Knights of Columbus 3rd degree.

He is survived by:
nephews, Jim (Janet) Bieske of Cheboygan and Jerry (Judy) Bicske of Cheboygan;
niece, Monica (Ervin) Koss of Grand Lake;
2 brothers, Edmond (Catherine) of Dearborm and Bernard of Rochester;
6 sisters, Lucey Paul of Rogers City, Blanche Hentkowski of Hawks,
Virginia (Arthur) Smolinski of Warren, Florence Wozniak of Livonia,
Bernice Krajniak of Posen, and Theresa (Arthur) Cendrowski of Warren;
and many other nieces and nephews

Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille, and brother, Dominic

Friends may visit the Beck Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
where the rosary will be recited at 6:30 by the Posen 3rd degree Knights, followed by
the parish wake service at 7:00 p.m. with Sr. Rita Epple officiating. Visitation will
resume at St. Dominic Catholic Church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of
mass at 11;00 a.m, with Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz and Sr. Rita Epple officiating.

Interment will take place at St. Dominic Catholic Cemetery

Memorials may be given to St. Dominic Catholic Church in memory
of Harry Nowicki.
