Harry Smigelski

1920 - 2012

Harry H. Smigelski age 91 of Posen
passed away January 15, 2012 at home

He was born April 23, 1920 in Krakow Township
to Michael and Anna (Modrzynski) Smigelski

Harry served in the United States Army during World War II. On September 23, 1946,
he married Stella Zyracki at St. Casimir Catholic Church, He retired as a heavy
equipment operator with the Presque Isle County Road Commission in 1982.

Mr. Smigelski was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and a life member of
the Posen VFW Post 7804. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Harry is survived by:
his wife, Stella;
sister-in-law, Sophie Zyracki;
sisters, Violia Nowaczewski, Eleanore Smith, Loretta Petroskey, and
Virginia (Stas) Wozniak;
brother, Michael (Ann) Smigelski;
many nieces, nephews, and our dear neighbors and friends.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m.
where the Posen VFW will lead the rosary at 6:30 followed at 7:00 p.m. by
Fr, Arthur Duchnowicz conducting the parish wake service.
Visitation will resume on Thursday at St. Casimir Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m.
until time of mass at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Stan Bereda officiating. Posen VFW will
accord full military honors following mass.

Interment will take place in the spring at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery

St. Casimir Catholic Church
