Harry Szymanski

Harry Philip Szymanski age 72 of Long Lake passed away unexpectedly on June 4, 2026.

He was born July 8, 1953, in Rogers City to Harry and Stella (Huntley) Szymanski.

Harry graduated from Rogers City High School in 1971. On June 13, 1997, he married Melissa Makowski in Alpena. He loved the outdoors, hunting, guiding, trapping and fishing. But most of all he loved his wife, son and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa; son, Dustin (fiancée, Jennifer Tulgestke) Makowski; three grandchildren, Maverick, Eva and Brayden; siblings, Rosemary Stanfield, Susan (Stanley) Sobeck, Teresa (Rodney) Lewandowski, Judy (Robert) Szott, Veronica (Lee) Dickerson, Helen (Tom) Polaski, Pam Zubal, Mary (Frank) Talaska, Karen Liedtke, Brian Szymanski, Sandy (Mike) Gittleson, Denise (Mark) Lewandowski, Jamie (Renee) Szymanski and Melissa (Sam) Mau; and many nieces and nephews.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Stella; and a brother, Mark.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 10th from 3 p.m. through time of his funeral at 6 p.m.
