Helen Fuhrman
1922 - 2013Helen M. Fuhrman, age 90 of Rogers City
passed away February 14, 2013 at Tendercare Alpena.
She was born March 24, 1922 in Rogers City
to Frederick and Clara (Tulgetske) Lee.
On March 28, 1942 she married Adolph Fuhrman in Rogers City.
Helen worked in the garment factory in Alpena during the war years while her husband was
in the service. She and her husband raised her niece and nephew, Dawnette and
Walter Burns.
She enjoyed puzzles, reading, needlework crafts, cross stitching many lovely greeting cards.
While in Tendercare she enjoyed playing bingo, listening to live music, playing cards, and
having lunch with her family.
Helen was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and Welcome Aboard.
Mrs. Fuhrman is survived by:
her niece, Dawn (Martin) Schultz of Rogers City;
sister, Margaret Vigeant of Rogers City;
“grandchildren” Cindy Schultz of Rogers City and Brian Schultz of Kingsley;
sister in law, Frieda Martens of Rogers City.
She was preceded in death by:
her parents; husband, Adolph on December 18, 1973;
nephew, Walter Burns,
3 sisters, Mildred Cole, Ruby Fuhrman, and Marian Johnson;
2 brothers, Robert Lee and infant Harvey.
Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m.
Visitation will resume on Monday at Westminster Presbyterian Church from 10:00 a.m.
until time of funeral at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Scott Hill officiating.
Memorials may be given to Westminster Presbyterian Church or
Hospice of Michigan in memory of Helen Fuhrman.
