Henry Clendenin

1944 - 2009

Henry W. Clendenin Jr., age 64 of Rogers City
passed away February 21, 2009 at his home

He was born March 19, 1944 in Rogers City
to Henry and Florence (Simonds) Clendenin

Henry served in the United States Navy from 1961
to 1965 aboard the USS Laffey. On May 16, 1970,
he married Theresa Kaczorowski at St. Casimir Catholic Church.

He worked as a mechanic for many years at Stan’s Garage in Rogers City,
He was also a deputy and Sheriff of Presque Isle County. Mr. Clendenin was
a life member of VF W Post 607 and was an active member of the Knights
of Columbus, third and fourth degree. His hobbies included hunting, fishing,
boating and more than anything else, spending precious time with his
grandsons.

He is survived by:
wife, Theresa
3 sons, Joel (Lori) of Ann Arbor, William (Kathy) of Livonia,
and Michael of Fenton
daughter, Christine (William) Martineau of Fowlerville,
5 grandchildren, Timothy, Matthew, John, Dallas, and Jacob
mother, Florence of Rogers City
4 sisters, Diane (Charles) Kemerer of Saginaw,
Mary (Robert) Wirgau of Rogers City, Susan (John) Rolfe of Topeka, KS,
and Beth Peters of Hurst, TX
brother, Richard (Marge) of Grayson, GA,
mother in law, Mary Kaczorowski
many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Monday, (Feb. 23rd) from
2:00 until 8:00 p.m. where the rosary will be recited at 6:30 followed by a
military tribute at 6:50 and the parish wake service at 7:00 p.m.. Visitation
will resume at St. Ignatius Catholic Church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m.
until time of mass at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Charles Donajkowski officiating.
Rogers City VFW will accord military honors following mass.

Interment will take place in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St, Ignatius Catholic School or Church in
memory of Henry Clendenin.
