Howard Love

1931 - 2016

Leslic Howard Love’s wish came true as he was
called home on March 25, 2016 while surrounded by his
loving family.

Howard was born September 13, 1931 in New Madrid County, Missouri
to Thomas and Marybelle (Adams) Love.

He moved to Flint at the age of 11. After graduating from Eastern
Pentecostal Seminary, Howard moved to Rogers City in 1956 and started
the Assembly of God Church in a garage. With the help of 4 men from the
church, in the 1960’s they built the original building on Linden Street that
Sunrise Assembly of God He was also employed by the Rogers City
Hospital and later became a Master Plumber until his retirement due to
health reasons.

Pastor Love is survived by:
his wife of 48 years, Sandy;
6 children, Arlis (Donald) Haske of Alpena,
Robert (Barb) Love of Pellston, Rachel Love of Cheboygan,
Jay (Heather) Love of Cheboygan,
Peter (Kate) Love of Rogers City and
Kerry (Brian) Lake of Rogers City;
13 grandchildren; and
2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Memorial visitation will take place at the Beck Funeral Home on Saturday,
April 2nd from 2:00 p.m, through time of his memorial service at
3:00 p.m. with Mr, Jim Benson officiating

Inurnment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Case Township,

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Love family
for a charity to be selected later
