Howard Schaedig

Howard M. Schaedig, age 89 of Rogers City,
passed away June 2, 2014 at Rogers City Tendercare,

He was born June 1, 1925 in Moltke Township
to August and Anna (Roeske) Schaedig.

On June 5, 1944 he married Catherine Mertz at St. Ignatius. He retired
as a millwright from the Calcite Plant in 1984 after 38 years of service.
Howard took up model ship building at the age of 84. He enjoyed
woodworking and working with steel. Howard will be remembered as a
kind, patient and gentle man.

Mr. Schaedig is survived by:
his loving wife, Katie;
2 daughters, Pat (Wayne) Jackson of Whitehall and
Carol Radka of Rogers City;
4 grandchildren, Cristin Jackson, Brian (Kate) Jackson, Lynn Radka, and
Paula (Tim) Idalski;
4 great grandchildren;
1 sister, Lillian (Wilbert) Keinath of Frankenmuth.

He was preceded in death by:
a granddaughter, Melissa Jackson;
5 siblings, Elnora, Erhardt, Marie Claus, Elmer, and Leonard;
son-in-law, Tom Radka

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:00
until 8:00 p.m, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.

Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m,
through time of funeral at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Eric Voigt officiating.
Interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery,

Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
