Irene Fleming

Irene Augusta Fleming age 88 of Belknap Township
passed away September 3, 2015 at Alpena Regional
Medical Center while surrounded by her loving family.

She was born April 17, 1927 in Metz Township
to Richard and Lucia (Dost) Schwicsow.

On June 18, 1948 she married Leonard Fleming at St. Michael Lutheran
Church, Irene was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church, its Ladies
Aid, Golden Agers, the German American Club and D.A.V, Auxiliary,
She was an avid canner, scrap booker, sewer, and quilter. She loved
spending time with her family and will be remembered for her many
newspaper clippings.

Mrs. Fleming is survived by:
7 children, Leonard (Sandy Ostrowski) of Hawks, Neil (Jeanette) of Posen.
Mark (Nannette) of Rogers City,
Esther (Rickie) Kindt of Ossineke, Susan (Sam) Krey of Alpena
Dale (Sue Robison) of Hawks, and Joel (Amy) of Hawks;
19 grandchildren, Earlene, Jeremy, Courtney, Heidi, Joshua, Amanda,
Lindsay, Ashley, Erica, Tony, Chad, Mike, Rickie Jr.,
Kendra, Jennifer, Jonathan, April, Nicole, and Nathan;
29 great grandchildren;
1 brother, Harry (Joyce) Schwiesow of Hawks; and
1 sister in law, Marie Schwicsow of Metz.

Irene was preceded in death by:
her husband, Leonard;
grandson, Mitch;
great grandson, Bastian;
1 sister Lucillia Schwicsow;
4 brothers, Frank, Richard, Freddie, and Herman Schwicsow.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:00 until
8:00 p.m, with the prayer service at 7:00 p.m, Visitation will resume on
Monday at St. Michael Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. through time of
service at 11:00 a.m, with Pastor Keith Schneider officiating.

Interment will take place following the service at
St. Michael Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. Michael Cemetery Fund
or a charity of your choice in memory of Irene.
