Irene Kowalski

Irene Kowalski age 89 of Metz passed away May 7, 2020 at Medilodge in Rogers City.

She was born August 6, 1930 in Metz to Anthony and Clara (Gorlewski) Pine.

Irene was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by three children, Jeanette (Neil) Fleming of Metz, Ron (Teresa) Kowalski of Posen and Glenn Kowalski of Grand Rapids; seven grandchildren, Josh (Amanda) Fleming, Amanda (Aaron) Brege, Ashley (Matt) DeFisher, Lindsey Fleming, Nicholas (Danielle) Kowalski, Crystal (Steve) DeSimone, and Isaac (Trisha) Kowalski; 13 great grandchildren, Taylor, Jaylen, Jamison,
Kylee, Bret, Makinzee, Haesly, Aubrey, Nora, Alfred, Lilyanna, Evelynne and Leo; seven siblings, Albert (Lucille), Art (Barb), Ben, Paul, Joe, Marian (Louis) Urban and Delores Bruski; sisters-in law, Cecelia Chojnacki.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; five siblings, Virginia (Raymond) Roznowski, Leonard Chojnacki, Raymond Chojnacki, David Chojnacki and John (Angeline) Chojnacki.

Friends may visit at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Metz on Monday from 10:00 a.m. through time of funeral at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Dominic Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Activities Room at Rogers City Medilodge or to a charity of your choice.
