James Boehmer
1943 - 2020James E. Boehmer age 77 of Rogers City passed away peacefully at home on February 20, 2020 in the arms of his loving wife.
He was born January 29, 1943 in Lansing to Charles and Velda (Wright) Boehmer.
On October 23, 1984 he married the love of his life, Katie Wotring in Lansing. Jim was a lover of music. He was a jazz drummer all of his life. Jim was a charismatic, optimistic man who enjoyed sharing his love for Jehovah God with everyone he met.
Jim is survived by his wife, Katie; children, Todd Brantley of Lansing, Jamie (Lewis) Swope of Charlotte, Autumn Boehmer of Milford, Joshua Brantley of Gwinn, Lyric Boehmer of Milford, Melody (Josh) Hincka of Rogers City and Seth (Tashina) Boehmer of Rogers City; 14 grandchildren and one great grandson, Ryder; one sister, Marilee (Ken) Farmer of Lansing; his four-legged companion, Willow; and all of his brothers and sisters from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Velda; and two brothers, Bill and Roger.
Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Saturday, March 14th from 2 p.m. through time of his memorial service at 3 p.m.
Memorials may be given to the Boehmer family for a charity to be selected later.
