Janet Langley
1935 - 2016Janet Langley age 81 of Rogers Township
passed away at home on September 30, 2016.
She was born June 26, 1935 in Clawson
to Edward and Marion (Hendrickson) Graham.
Janet’s early career was in education working for many years as an
administrative assistant to the Principal of Clawson Jr, High School.
She then owned and operated with her husband, a hardware store in
Rogers City. Janet then changed her career to a Dietary Supervisor at two
prominent skilled nursing facilities in Northeastern Michigan. On
February 15, 1986 she married Richard Langley at St. John Lutheran
Church in Rogers City. Janet was a member of Peace Lutheran Church,
She enjoyed spending time in her flower garden, fishing and reading.
Janet is survived by:
4 children, Bruce (Kindra) LeClair of Stevensville
Edward (Maryann) LeClair of St. Louis, Missouri
Timothy (Jayne) LeClair of Clinton Township
Collette (Robert) Sumpter of Madison Heights
8 grandchildren, Brittany LeClair, Krista (James) Briggs, Nathan LeClair,
Chad (Miranda) LeClair, Ryan LeClair,
Patti (Doug) Downey, Thomas LeClair and Ethan LeClair,
8 great grandchildren.
1 sister, Marge Herkimer of Spanish Fork, Utah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard on July 14, 1998;
brother, Edward Graham on May 18, 1982, and
step-daughter, Lynn Langley-Tilton.
Friends may gather at Peace Lutheran Church on Saturday, May 20th from
9:00 a.m, through time of her memorial service at 10:00 a.m,
Inurnment will follow at Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Janet’s memory to
CARE Cheboygan Van Program, a transportation program to assist
cancer patients,
