Jason Comps

Jason Michael Comps age 53 of Cheboygan passed away April 26, 2026.

He was born August 24, 1972 in San Diego, California to Francis and Pamela (Holden) Comps.

Jason graduated from Cheboygan High School in 1990. He served in the United States Air Force during Desert Storm, upon returning home, he was employed at the Cheboygan County Sheriff’s Department until his medical retirement. Jason was an avid Detroit sports fan enjoying the sport of the season. He coached area wrestling teams and youth sports for many years along with his son. He was most happy spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by two children, Nicholas (Breann) Comps and Jennifer Comps; four grandchildren, Brooklyn, Savannah, Kayleigh and Nicholas Jr.

Jason was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Marie Comps and his parents.

A celebration of life will take place on Monday, May 4th at the Benton Township Hall from 12-Noon until ? Please come by and share a memory, have a bite to eat and a enjoy a beverage in memory of Jason.

He will be laid to rest with his wife at The Old Methodist Cemetery in Ocqueoc Township during a private service.
