Jay Stalker
1946 - 2022James R. “Jay” Stalker age 76 of Millersburg, formerly of Flint and Otter Lake passed at his home surrounded by his family on November 6, 2022.
Jay was born in Detroit on June 14, 1946 to Lawrence and Della (Robertson) Stalker.
He worked at Buick for 31 years. Was a member of Auto City Eagles in Mt. Morris, F.O.E of Millersburg, and the VFW of Flint and Onaway and a member of Michigan Foster Adoptive Kinship Association. On February 8, 1982 he married Marie Currier-June. With the love they already had with their 6 kids they decided to share their love and fostered 131 children (along with adopting 5 of them) over a 33-year time span. Yes, he was a busy man, and a great friend to many. Jay loved spending time with his family, camping, wood working, reading and loved hanging with his little buddy Jacer. He also enjoyed working in the garage with Bob “Baldy” and Brett. Jay looked forward to going to the Millersburg Bump and Run put on by Millersburg Fire Dept.
Leaving behind his wife of 40 years, Marie; children, Sandy (Joseph) Collins, Rose (Dennis) Grulkowski, Jenny Stalker, Richard (Michelle) June Jr., Heather Stalker, Travis Stalker, Andrea Stalker and Madison Stalker; numerous grandkids and great grandkids; and extended family, Teri Calvery and Dott (Larry) Goddard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepdaughter, Penelope Lynn Persails; sons, William “B.J.” June and Michael (Cindy) June; and a granddaughter, PennyLynn June.
Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 9th from 2 p.m. through time of his funeral at 3 p.m. where the Onaway VFW Post 5857 will accord military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
