Jené Vogelheim

Our beloved sister, Jené Marie Vogelheim age 62 of Rogers City passed away at home on October 5, 2022 surrounded by people who loved her.

She was born July 18, 1960 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia to Neil and Gail (Joppich) Vogelheim.

She was known to her sisters as the “oldest and wisest”. Jené had a huge giving heart for friends, family and all animals. If you looked for her in the winter, you would find her next to a roaring bonfire listening to her favorite tunes. She was an extremely hard-working person, who loved people and never knew a stranger. She worked at Grulke Hardware for 22 years and bartending in the evenings. We will miss all the shenanigans. You’re our special Angel now, love you!

Jené is survived by her son, Johnny (Lucy) Davis of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Christian, Cooper and Casey; her mom, Gail (G.P. Matherne) Joppich of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Heidi (Mark) Lewelling, Wendy (Scott) Catlett and Amy (Mike) Phebus; half-sibling, Kathy (John) Strugala; two nieces, Jordan and Brice; three nephews, Bennett, Trenton and Noah; her companion, Greg Styma; and her sweet pup, Beeba.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Neil Vogelheim.

A private ceremony will take place.
