Jerry Wolgast

Jerry Leonard “Red” Wolgast, age 72 of Ocqueoc Township,
passed away April 1, 2014 at McLaren Northern Michigan.

He was born February 7, 1942 in Ocqueoc Township
to Leonard and Evelyn (Ganske) Wolgast.

On June 29, 1963 he married Grace Wirgau at St. John Lutheran Church
in Rogers City. He retired from the Calcite Plant in 2001 after 41 years
of employment. Red enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time
outdoors,

Mr. Wolgast is survived by:
his wife, Grace;
4 children, Tammy (Bill) Jamieson of Casper, Wyoming,
Arthur (Kelly) Wolgast of Ocqueoc,
Jerry “Ben” (Shelia) Wolgast of Ocqueoc, and
Ron Ramus of Ocqueoc;
8 grandchildren,
5 great grandchildren;
mother, Evelyn Wolgast;
3 siblings, Juanita (Neil) Sorgenfrei, Diane (Larry) Schaedig, and
Lenny Wolgast.

He was preceded in death by:
father, Leonard and
sister, Linda LaLonde.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m,
through time of his memorial service at 11:00 a.m, with
Pastor Eric Voigt officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Wolgast family
or March of Dimes.
