Jo Ann Tischler

Jo Ann Tischler age 86 of Rogers City passed away in Rogers City on Saturday, September 24, 2022.

She was born in Petoskey on September 14, 1936 to George and Daisy (Hulbert) Paulus.

Jo Ann is survived by her husband, James; two daughters, Jane Tischler and Lori (Israel) Garcia of Beavercreek, Oregon; four granddaughters, Sara (Ryan) Linder, Becca (Brad) Cosgrove, Leslie (Jacob) Dorfler and Julie (Alexis) Serna; 8 great grandchildren, Julianna Linder, Emily Linder, Hannah Cosgrove, Jack Cosgrove, Jayden Dorfler, Taylor Dorfler, Sebastian Serna and Lorenzo Serna; two brothers, Thomas (Evelyn) Paulus and John (Carol) Paulus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Daisy Paulus.

Jo Ann moved to Rogers City in 1951. She graduated from Rogers City High School in 1954. She lived for a while in Boston where she worked as a lab tech at Chelsea Memorial Hospital in Chelsea, Massachusetts. After her move to Rogers City, she worked at the Hammond Bay Research Station. On November 23, 1957 she married James Tischler at St. John Lutheran Church.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 28^th from 2 p.m. through time her funeral at 3 p.m.

Burial will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery in Rogers City.

Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
