John Brooks

John Thomas Brooks age 49 of Cheboygan passed away at home on March 9, 2022.

He was born September 1, 1972 in Cheboygan to Thomas and Patricia (Lorenz) Brooks.

John enjoyed leek and morel picking, hunting and fishing, listening to Johnny Cash, and spending time at Long Lake surrounded by family and friends.

He is survived by his ex-wife and lifelong companion, Maghan Brooks; three beautiful children, Quaid Brooks, Gabrialle Brooks and Johnny Brooks; grandson, Sebastian Burns; mother: Patricia (Stu) Smith; Father, Thomas Brooks; two sisters: Shari (Bud) Manning and family Edward Guyette II (Jessica), Mackenzie Derhammer, Kaleigh Manning and Samantha Manning; and Tammy (Tim) Valik and daughters Ashley (Steven) Benic and Emily Valik.

A Celebration of life will take place when the weather gets nicer.
