John Chojnacki

John Chojnacki age 83 passed away March 10, 2017
in Shelby Township.

He was born May 18, 1933 in Metz Township
to Anthony and Clara (Gorlewski) Pine.

John loved hunting and fishing along with working in the woods and in his
garden. He spent his entire days outside finding something to do. When he
was in the house he would be watching baseball, he was a loyal Tiger fan
and never missed a game. He enjoyed playing cards and listening to Polka
Party. John loved to dance to Polish music and would tear up the floor
back in his younger days.

Mr. Chojnacki is survived by:
4 children, Monica (Wayne Koss) Simmons of Posen,
Marylou (Jeannette) Henderson of Shelby Township,
Melissa (Jeff) Cornett of Rogers City, and
Marie (Fred) LaPointe of West Branch;
6 stepchildren, Raymond (Pat) Hentkowski of Alpena,
Judy Scott of Union City,
Richard Hentkowski of Constantine,
Kenneth Hentkowski of Posen,
Charlene (Don) Sheldon of Traverse City,
Joann (Anton Fellinger) Wojtaszek of
Washington Township;
21 grandchildren, and
24 great grandchildren,

He was preceded in death by:
his wife, Angeline;
stepdaughter, Barbara Wright;
sister, Virginia Roznowski;
2 Brothers, Ray Chojnacki and David Chojnacki; and
parents, Anthony and Clara.

Friends may visit the Beck Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 14th, at
4:00 p.m, until 8:00 p.m, where the rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.
followed by the parish wake service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at
St. Dominic Catholic Church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. through time
of mass at 11:00 a.m, with Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating.

Interment will take place at St. Dominic Catholic Cemetery in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice of Michigan
in memory of John Chojnacki
