John Mero

John Michael Mero, age 62 of Black Lake,
passed away August 17, 2013 at home.

He was born December 27, 1950 in Cheboygan
to Orem and Audrey (Meitzner) Mero.

John graduated from Gaylord St. Mary’s in 1969 then earned his
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at Central Michigan University.

He served on the Board of Directors for the Onaway Credit Union and
Presque Isle District Library.

Mr. Mero is survived by:
his wife, Anna;
2 stepsons, John (Tani) Fons of Davison and
Joe (Helen) Fons of Fair Haven;
two step granddaughters, Audrey and Alexa.

John is also survived by:
his parents, Orem and Audrey Mero;
2 brothers, James (Jamie) Mero and Joel Mero;
sister, Joy (Morris) Dropper, all of Gaylord,

He was preceded in death by:
his grandparents, John Meitzner, Hertha Ellis, and Charles and Eva Mero.
