John Metyko

John Allen Metyko age 84 of Lake Nettie passed away at Medilodge in Rogers City on June 16, 2024.

He was born in Detroit on February 11, 1940 to Jacob and Loretta (Chouinard) Metyko.

On April 29, 1961 he married Judith Karen Hotel at St. David Catholic Church in Detroit.

John is survived by three children, Mary Lynn Heise of Zeeland, Michael (Cheryl) Metyko of LaPorte, Indiana and Beth (Douglas) Cramb of Millersburg; seven grandchildren, Kristen (Dave) Rewa, Kari (Chris) Hillman, Kelley (Meryl) Heise, Jennifer (Nick) Breitzka, Nicole Cleek, Kenneth (Kate) Cramb and Matthew (Jesica) Cramb; 10 great grandchildren, Norah, Kate, Molly, Emma, Coulson, Mayson, Elizabeth, William, Lucas and Levi; two sisters, Judy (John) Forest and Jo Ann Poznanski.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judith; and a great grandson, Carter Heise.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Thursday, June 20^th from 4-8 p.m. where the 4^th Degree Knights of Columbus will lead the Rosary at 6:30. Visitation will resume on Friday at St. Dominic Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until time of his Mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. Charlie Donajkowski officiating.

Inurnment will take place at St. Dominic Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the Knights of Columbus Chalice Fund.
