John Tracy

John L. Tracy age 65 of Cheboygan
passed away March 3, 2015 at Hospice House in Cheboygan.

He was born March 27, 1949 in Cheboygan
to Robert and Florence (Maynard) Tracy.

John graduated from Cheboygan High School in 1967. He served in the
United States Army during the Vietnam War. On September 16, 1983 he
married Rosemary Shampine in Cheboygan, Mr. Tracy recently retired
from the Mackinaw Bridge as an Iron Worker where he was involved in
the ongoing maintenance and repairs to the “Mighty Mac”. John will be
remembered as the drummer from the Orchid Walley Band which he and
several friends started when he was 16 years old, They entertained
different audiences around the State including “Jerry’s Kids” during the
Labor Day Telethons for Muscular Dystrophy.

John is survived by:
his wife, Rosemary;
daughter, Dionne Tracy of Cheboygan;
son, Nick (Kathleen)Connors of Sault Ste. Marie;
4 grandchildren, Ariall Connors, Cameron Connors, Kara Mosher and
Caleigh Easter;
2 brothers, Dan (Roberta) Tracy of North Carolina and
Mike (Barb) Tracy of Cheboygan;
1 sister, Sue (Rick) Waisanen of Washington,

A celebration of life will take place at the Eagles Club on Saturday,
March 7th from 12 till 5:00 p.m. A prayer will be held at 12:30 p.m.
Sharing stories is encouraged at any point during the celebration.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Hospice House of Cheboygan
in memory of John Tracy.
