Joyce Zempel

Joyce Elaine Zempel age 96 of Rogers City passed away peacefully at MyMichigan Health in Alpena on April 1, 2024.

She was born September 10, 1927 in Rogers City to August and Louise (Kortman) Erkfitz.

Joyce is survived by two children, Lynn (Harlow) Hardies of Belknap Township and David (Mary) Zempel of Frankfort; daughter-in-law, Natalie Zempel; seven grandchildren, John Lamb, Holly (Jared) Daniels, Kathy (Mark) Faba, Brenda (Chris) Noffsinger, Jordan (Ellen) Zempel, Tereasa Welker, Tyler (Danielle) Zempel; 11 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Marlene Griffin and Trudy Audette.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; son, Ralph; and an infant daughter, Brenda Sue.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Saturday, April 20^th from 1 p.m. through time of her memorial service at 2 p.m.

Inurnment will take place next to her husband at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of Michigan, Peace Lutheran Church or to a charity of your choice.
