Judith Kosan

Judith Ann “Judy” Kosan age 75 of Cheboygan, formerly of Alanson and Monroe, passed away July 13, 2022 surrounded by her loving family while under the care of Hospice.

She was born December 28, 1946 in Monroe to Joe and Forrest Rose (Ridner) Payne.

She married Nick Kosanovich “Kosan” in 1965. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1965. Judy moved to Alanson in 1979 as owner of the Alanson Liquor Cabinet. Later she also worked for the Emmet County Deputy Register of Deeds, retiring in 2009.

Judy is survived by her son, Nick Kosan II and Fiancée Patricia “Patty” Ford of Cheboygan; two loving granddaughters, Megan Tooder (Laurentiu) and Kasandra Brinks; and two grandsons, Michael Beck and Thomas Vieau.

Memorial tributes may be made to Cheboygan County Humane Society in Judy’s memory.

A memorial gathering of friends and family will be held at a later date.
