Karen Wolgast

Karen Ann Wolgast age 72 of Onaway passed away peacefully on November 5, 2026 at Medilodge in Rogers City.

She was born in Rogers City on November 25, 1953.

Karen loved her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved blueberry picking, gardening, crafting, walking and working as a CNA for many years. Karen will be remembered for her sense of humor, quick wit and her kind, loving and giving way.

She is survived by two daughters, Katie (Paul Beavers) Wolgast and Abby (David Mercer) Rice; three sons, Brian (Rebecca Rice) Wolgast, Joe (Nichole) Wolgast and James (Laura) Wolgast; many grandchildren; several great grandchildren; mother, Ardis Mamp; sisters, Esther Karsten, Wilma (Troy Dice) Tulgestka, Jennifer Mamp and Susan (Paul Fulton) Jones; brothers, Karl (Peggy) Zampich, Jeffrey Mamp and Jerald Mamp;

She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph; a son, Billy Jo; and two brothers, infant Roger and Paul.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Saturday, November 14th from 11 a.m. through time of her memorial service at 12-noon.

A luncheon will follow in the San Luis Rey Room at the funeral home.

Inurnment will take place at Bearinger Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Karen’s family for a charity to be selected later.
