Kathleen Idalski
1939 - 2022Kathleen Marie Idalski age 82 of Rogers City passed away peacefully at Medilodge in Rogers City on February 27, 2022.
She was born October 16, 1939 in Alpena to Anthony and Angeline (Konwinski) Buza.
Kathleen was chosen to be the Posen Potato Festival Queen in1956. She graduated from Posen High School in 1957. On May 19, 1962 she married Ronald Idalski at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Posen. She enjoyed music, dancing, playing cards and dominos and taking pictures. She and Ron spent many winters in Orange Beach, Alabama. She served as secretary for Posen and Rogers City Schools. She worked at Richard’s Clothing and Nagel Well Drilling as their book keeper. Kathleen was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and its Rosary Society.
She is survived by three children, Lisa (Thomas) Bellmore of Rogers City, Todd (Lynn) Idalski of Plantation, Florida and Joel (Robin) Idalski of Moltke; eight grandchildren, Tommy Bellmore, Ashley (Michael Jr.) Atkins, Leanne (fiancé, Mark Donham) Idalski, Todd “TJ” Idalski, Tyler (Christine) Idalski, Brooklyn (fiancé, Chad Karsten) Idalski, Autumn Idalski and Braden Idalski; two great grandchildren, Mason Atkins and Alivia Idalski; seven siblings, Daniel Buza, Marilyn Kuszajewski, Marcia (Ron) Urban, Annette (Fredron) Sanchagrin, David Buza, Paulette Woloszyk and Denise (Alex) Krajniak.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; her parents, Anthony and Angeline; and a sister, Dolores Buza.
Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday, March 11th from 4-8 where the Rosary Society will lead the rosary at 6:30 followed by the parish wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday, March 12th at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Posen from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at 10 a.m. with Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating.
Burial will take place in the spring at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to St. Ignatius Catholic School’s Angel Fund.
