Kenneth Fimbinger
1955 - 2024Kenneth Lee Fimbinger (K.L.), 68 of Cheboygan, MI passed away January 22, 2024 surrounded by family.
Ken was born in Dearborn, MI on September 16, 1955. Throughout his childhood he moved many times and created lasting memories every place he went.
As a kid Ken played hockey, he enjoyed sharing these memories and skating with his family. He came to Cheboygan at 16. Ken met the love of his life, Sheila, at an early age. They were married on November 29th, 1977. They had three children Jessica, Amanda, and Myles. Ken was known as a hard worker and took extreme pride in everything he did. He always made it known that pound for pound he was the toughest guy you’ll ever meet. KL had a strong passion for old iron and spent many years operating his beloved crane at Darrow Brothers Excavating. In the winters, Ken enjoyed cutting firewood and selling logs he cut and processed with his skidder and home built logging clam.
Ken is survived by his wife, Sheila, children Jessica and Ralph Farver, Myles and Katie Fimbinger of Cheboygan, Amanda and Rob Viau of Forsyth, Missouri. Mother in law Joan Burnett of Cheboygan. His grandchildren Marissa, Madison, Warren, Connor, and Cammie of Cheboygan, Grant, Calista, Corina, and Reid of Forsyth.
Ken is preceded in death by his mother and father, Emil and Peggy Fimbinger. As well as his Father in law Arthur R. Burnett.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Spare Time Lanes, 7934 N Straits Hwy, Cheboygan, MI from 1-5.
