Kenneth McNealy

1943 - 2012

Kenneth Clayton McNealy age 68 of Hawks
passed away May 7, 2012 at Alpena Regional Medical Center.

He was born November 14, 1943 in Detroit
to Arnold McNealy Jr. and Blanche Schepke.

On February 4, 1967 he married Ione May “Toni” Nye at St. Andrew Cathedral
in Grand Rapids. Ken was a high school teacher at Kettering High School in Detroit.
He retired in 1996. Ken and Toni moved to Hawks in 1999. He was a Trustee for
Bismarck Township and a member of Presque Isle County Library Board,
Chairman of the Presque Isle County Democratic Party and Treasurer for the
Presque Isle County Historical Museum. Ken was a Ham Radio Operator,
a Model Rail Roader and enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid reader.

Mr. McNealy is survived by:
his wife, Ione “Toni”;
2 sons, Ken Jr. (Melissa) McNealy of Rochester Hills and
Robert (Kristy) McNealy of Aurora, Colorado;
5 grandchildren, Victoria, Riley, Camden, Sawyer, and Maverick;
3 siblings, Shari Murdock of Shelby Township, Jean Schleben of Hawks, and
Judy Heise of Florida.

Ken was preceded in death by:
his parents, Arnold and Blanche; and
a brother, Mark.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. through
time of funeral at 1:00 p.m. with Sr. Rita Epple officiating.

Burial will take place at St. Dominic Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Blue Tigers Community Outreach
of Presque Isle County in memory of Ken McNealy.
