Kenneth Schroeder

Kenneth William Schroeder, 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 9, 2026.

He was born in Rock Island, Illinois to the late Hans Arnold and Mary Ann “Marie” nee Harsha Schroeder on August 6, 1940.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife – Lenita May Schroeder, bother – Arnold Schroeder, sister-in-law – Mary Louise Schroeder and Ikuko Schroder, brother-in-law – Lee Fredrick Schroder, and son-in-law – Joel Lee Tuft.

After high school he attended Concordia Teacher’s College in Seward, Nebraska. Kenneth served Mt. Calvary in Denver, Colorado; Grace Lutheran in Key West, Florida; Bethlehem Lutheran in Chicago, Illinois; St. Luke’s Lutheran in Cabot, Pennsylvania; North Valley Lutheran in Mission Hills, Faith Lutheran and Good Shepherd Lutheran in Inglewood, California; St. Paul Lutheran in Luxemburg, Wisconsin; and St. John’s Lutheran in Rogers City, Michigan. Since retirement Kenneth has been substituting for Rogers City and Alpena schools.

He met his wife Lenita in Miami, Floridia, and they were married in Miami, Floridia on August 7, 1965. They were blessed with one daughter, Teresa Marie Tuft; one grandson, Raymond Wayne Tuft; a sister, Ethel (John) Beyer; half-brother, Timothy (Darla) Schroeder; brothers-in-law, John Schroder, Keith (Linda) Schroder, Mark (Teresa) Schroder; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit at St. John Lutheran Church in Rogers City on Friday, May 29th from 10 a.m. through time of his memorial service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joseph Bangert officiating.

Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church or School in Rogers City or to Immanuel Lutheran Church or School in Alpena.
