Leon Blackmer

Leon A. Blackmer age 82 of Rogers Township,
passed away November 6, 2012 at home.

He was born June 28, 1930 in Ypsilanti
to Leon and Gertrude (Bucholz) Blackmer.

Leon served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
On September 25, 1954 he married Florence Foster Schneider in Ohio. Leon was
president of P. K. Fletcher Gun Club in Alpena for many years. He will be
remembered for his Christmas light display at his home on US 23, north of
Rogers City.

Mr. Blackmer is survived by:
his wife, Florence:
5 children, Sherry Collins of Manchester, Tina McCarthy of Brighton,
Reggie (Betty) Schneider of Millersburg, Ronnie of Connecticut, and
Janelle Howard of Ypsilanti;
12 grandchildren;
12 great grandchildren;
3 great-great grandchildren;
1 sister, Berniece Blackmer of Rogers City.

Friends may visit Beck Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. through time of his
memorial service at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to P. K. Fletcher Gun Club
in memory of Leon Blackmer.
