Leona Wheeler

Leona S. Wheeler age 92 of Rogers City passed away January 13, 2008 at
Medilodge of Hillman.

She was born November 7, 1915 in Rogers City to
Charles and Adelhide (Joppich) Sauve’

Leona was a life-long resident of Rogers City except for several years spent in
Lansing and Gaylord. She was a skilled atrisan of Italian cut-work embroidery
and enjoyed her work as a florist.

She is survived by:
daughter, Dale Elizabeth (Mel) Plume of Rogers City,
2 grandchildren, Lisa Kaye Blair of Petoskey and
Neil (Carolyn) Plume of Chattanooga, Tennessee
3 great grandchildren, Christopher J. Blair and Matthew A. Blair of Petoskey,
Li-ling Plume of Chattanooga

Leona was preceded in death by:
parents, Charles and Adelhide (Joppich) Sauve’
brother, Mylan Sauve’
sister, Norma E. Sauve’

A memorial service is set for 12-noon, Monday (May 26th) at the Rogers City
Area Senior Center.

Inurnment took place in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Friends of Hoeft State Park in memory of
Leona S. Wheeler
