Leonard Schultz

1937 - 2017

Leonard A, Schultz age 79 of Moltke Township
passed away at home on June 15, 2017.

He was born October 3, 1937 in Moltke Township
to Arthur and Hattie (Wiesegart) Schultz.

Leonard served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was
stationed in Thailand. On June 24, 1967 he married Lucy Achtabowski at
St. Paul Catholic Church in Onaway. He enjoyed hunting, camping,
gardening, working in the woods and talking politics.

He is survived by:
his wife, Lucy;
4 children, Brenda (John) Vander Graaf of Grand Rapids,
Jolene (John) Priest of Mt. Pleasant,
Glenn Schultz of Moltke and
Valerie Schultz of Indiana;
4 grandchildren, John Vander Graaf, Luke Vander Graaf, Nikki Priest and
Lydia Priest;
2 brothers, Martin (Dawnette) Schultz of Moltke and
Philip Shultz of Saginaw;
2 sisters, Ruth Altman of Belknap and
Esther (Hiram) Nichols of Millersburg

He was preceded in death by:
his parents, Arthur and Hattie;
brother, Harold and
a sister, Harriette Appie.

Friends may visit at St. James Lutheran Church in Moltke Township on
Monday, June 19th from 10:00 a.m. through time of his funeral at
11:00 a.m, with Pastor Jeff Bonn officiating. Rogers City VFW Post 607
will accord military honors during graveside services immediately
following church services,

In licu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St, James
Lutheran Church in memory of Leonard Schultz,
