Lisa Fairbanks

Lisa Ann Fairbanks age 70 of Rogers Township passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by her family on Monday, October 5, 2026.

She was born in Rogers City on October 23, 1955 to Douglas and Vernetta (Kleiber) Selke.

On October 21, 1973 she married Joseph Fairbanks in Hawks. Lisa loved everything outdoors, flower gardening, spending time on the beach, deer hunting and fishing. She also enjoyed baking, canning and decorating for the seasons, especially the family Christmas Tree. Lisa enjoyed doing all of these activities with her children and then with her grandchildren also.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; three children, Timothy (Karen Wagner) Fairbanks, Kaelie (Tyler Kowalski) Fairbanks and Kevin (Cynthia) Fairbanks; seven grandchildren, Evan (Morgan Bruning), Jaxson, Mallory, Emily, Aliyah, Ember and Eleanora; siblings, Beth LaLonde, Jan (Archie) Kelly, Jim (Sheila) Selke, Mary (Greg) Goff, Jenny (Lee) Hunt; and her two four legged companions, Daisy Lou and Belle.

Lisa was preceded in death by a son, Douglas and a brother-in-law, Jim LaLonde.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday, October 9th from 4-8 p.m., a prayer service and a time of sharing memories will begin at 7 p.m. On Saturday, friends may visit at St. Ignatius Catholic Church from 9 a.m. through time of her Mass at 10 a.m. with Fr. Don Geyman officiating.

A luncheon will follow at Peace Lutheran Church’s fellowship hall.

Inurnment will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be given to St. Ignatius Catholic School’s Restoration Fund in memory of Lisa Fairbanks.
