Lucille “Lucy” Zwolinski
1923 - 2021Lucille Kathleen “Lucy” Zwolinski age 97 of Posen passed away May 21, 2021 at Medilodge in Rogers City.
She was born December 6, 1923 in Posen to Frank and Cecilia (Orban) Pilarski.
On May 4, 1942, Lucille married Joseph Leo Zwolinski at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Lucy was a homemaker and a fantastic cook and baker who will be remembered for her delicious bread, apple pies and pickles. She had an amazing garden and was always sharing her canned goods with others. Lucille was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Metz. She was a true Proverbs 31 Woman who loved her family dearly.
Lucy is survived by her daughter, Laurie (Burke) Wozniak and son, Richard (Kaye) Zwolinski, all of Posen; nine grandchildren, Cindy (Vince) Calleja, Rodney (Lisa) Wozniak, Robert (Julie) Zwolinski, Renee (Michael) Moroni, Jr., Gerald (Kim) Zwolinski, Anthony (Sheila) Zwolinski, Denise (Fritz) O’Donnell, Brian (Julie) Zwolinski and Brenda (Ashley) Hamp; 13 great-grandchildren, Amanda (Dan) Martin, Lauren (Brandon) Bedard & Joe Zwolinski, Brittany and John (Audra) Zwolinski, Logan O’Donnell, Wyatt, Elizabeth & Ryan Zwolinski, Jared & Jacob Hamp, Hunter Wozniak and Ryder Zwolinski; six great-great-grandchildren, Irah, Hannah and Lydia Martin; Tucker and Farrah Zwolinski and Allison Bedard; a sister Betty (Don) Kirschner of Alpena; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph “Joe” (2010); son, Gerald Sr; sister, Alice (Leonard) Otremba; and brother, Sylvester (Lillian) Pilarski.
Friends may visit at St. Dominic Catholic Church on Monday, June 7th from 10 a.m. through time of her memorial Mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating.
Inurnment will follow at St. Dominic Catholic Cemetery.
