Lydia Durr

Lydia D. Durr age 98 of Rogers City
passed away February 1, 2009 at Medilodge of Hillman

She was born August 26, 1910 in Rogers City to
William and Amanda (Emke) Hornbacher

Lydia graduated from Rogers City High School and worked in our area for several
years. She moved to Flint in 1934 and attended Flint Junior College, then became
the Director of the Carmen School District in Flint. On February 12,1937 she
married Louis F, Durr. Upon retirement in 1965 the couple moved to Rogers City.
Mrs. Durr’s hobbies included flower and vegetable gardening and rug braiding.

Mrs. Durr is survived by:
many nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by:
husband, Louis on April 5, 1989
6 brothers, Henry, John, Charlie, William, Frederick, and Louis
5 sisters, Hannah, Minnic, Roxic, Emma, and Mary

Friends may visit at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, February 4th
from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral at 11:00 a.m..

Interment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Westminster Presbyterian Church in memory of
Lydia Durr
