Lynda Velat

Lynda Suzanne “Linzi” Velat age 65 of Presque Isle
passed away October 1, 2012 at home

She was born November 20, 1946 in Ann Arbor
to Norman and Ruth (Robertson) Patterson

Linzi received her LPN Certificate from North Michigan College in Traverse City,
then completed her Clinical Studies at Alpena General Hospital. She spent most of
her career at Pontiac General Hospital. On July 2, 1976 she married Anthony Velat in
Royal Oak.

Linzi is survived by:
her husband, Tony;
daughter, Jamie (Ron) Winkel of West Virginia;
stepchildren, Janet (Frank) Goodman of Georgia and John (Galka) Velat of Chassell;
grandchildren, T.J., Cortney, Elizabeth, Amber, Eric, Nikita, Kirill, Masha, and IIlya;
great granddaughter, Briana;
brother, Dr. Jarrold (Elizabeth) Patterson of West Bloomfield;
sister, Joan Sweet of South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Ruth and Norman

Friends may visit the Grand Lake Community Chapel on Saturday, October 27th
from 1:00 p.m. through time of her memorial service at 2:00 p.m. with
Rey. Dr, Robert Case officiating.

Burial will take place at the Presque Isle Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Huron Humane Society or Alpena Cancer Center
in memory of Linzi Velat.
