Marcia Smolinski

Marcia Lynn Smolinski age 69 of Posen passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2023.

She was born August 22, 1953 in Rogers City to Eugene and Leona (Zielinski) Hilla.

Marcia is survived by her husband, David; three children, Sarah (Justin) Beery, Scott Smolinski and Stacy (Simon) Robb; six grandchildren, Talia, Asher, Savannah, Tyson, Elliot and Rhys; two brothers, Tom (Laura) Hilla and Tim Hilla; and two sisters, Judith Hilla and Bonnie (Mike) Ruggles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Leona; three brothers, Steve, Ken and Gene Jr.; and a sister, Nancy.

On September 29, 1973 she married her best friend, David Smolinski, together they raised their three children and loved on their grandchildren. Marcia enjoyed working in her flower gardens, reading, working puzzles, following the Detroit Tigers, traveling and spending time in the woods.

Friends may visit at St. Casimir Catholic Church on Friday, May 12^th from 10 a.m. through time of her memorial Mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating.

Inurnment will follow at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.
