Marcus Vanier

Marcus Vanier

1992 - 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marcus Salte Vanier, who was born on February 12, 1992 and escaped this mortal world on June 24, 2024. Marcus was born in Cheboygan, Michigan, where he spent most of his life and was beloved by all who had the deepest pleasure of knowing him.
Marcus had many hobbies that brought joy to his life. He loved gaming with his online friends, enjoyed going for long walks, embarking on countless road trips (even more so if they involved a trip to Taco Bell), cruises, and urban exploring with his best and most cherished friend, Annie LaPierre. He especially loved playing the lottery. So much so, that when he won he would be sure to lose it all on the next ticket, not before buying a nice, cold energy drink from the nearest store of course. He loved unicorns and Stitch more than anyone else. But above all else, he simply enjoyed all that life had to offer. His adventurous spirit and love for new experiences will be fondly remembered.
Marcus is survived by his father, Curtis Vanier. And mother, Tonya Little-Tumidanski and Step Dad, David Tumidanski, who raised him with so much love and care. Brothers; Richard Campeau (and wife Jennifer), Curt Brown, Gerald Moulder, Zachary Little, Ryan Vanier, and Princeton Vanier; sisters, Jaclynn Vanier, Shanda Vanier, Kaitlyn Marlette (and husband Colton), Kianna Vanier, and Makayla LaPierre; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who all loved and cherished him more than he ever knew. Marcus is now reunited with his grandparents Lawrence and Iola Vanier, and Billy and Rebecca Little.
Although Marcus’s time with us was cut short, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He was always there for his loved ones when they needed him. He was authentic and true to himself of which his friends and family could not be more proud of. His infectious laugh, brilliant humor, and relentless bravery will never be forgotten.
May Marcus Vanier rest in peace, knowing that he was cherished and loved deeply by all who were fortunate enough to call him family or friend.
We love and miss you Marcus. You are our Ohana, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. You are forever in our hearts.
