Marilyn Kidder

Marilyn Ruth Kidder age 98 of Benton Township passed away peacefully at Hancock Haven Retirement Village in Aloha Township on April 18, 2022.

She was born December 6, 1923 in Dearborn to Shirley and Dorothy (Hoedemaker) Owens.

Marilyn was one of the first to graduate from the Greenfield Village School in Dearborn. She enjoyed reading, watercolors, knitting Christmas stockings for her family, and spending time at the family cottage on Bois Blanc Island.

She is survived by five children, Margaret (Terrence) O’Donnell, David (Deborah) Kidder, Stephen (Nancy) Kidder, Edward (Jeny) Kidder and Jennifer (David) Hardy; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Jeanne Kidder; and a brother, William Owens.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; a son, John and two sisters, Betty and Sally.

A memorial gathering will take place this summer on Bois Blanc Island.
