Marion Brege

Marion Esther Brege age 98 of Belknap Township passed away peacefully at home on August 4, 2025.

She was born in Metz to Max and Bertha (Taylor) Kowalewsky on October 21, 1926.

Marion enjoyed cutting and styling hair as she was a certified beautician. She also enjoyed reading and tending to her flower gardens.

She is survived by three children, John Brege of Belknap, Brenda Dehring of Belknap and Ellen (Stanley) Solokis of Williamsburg; six grandchildren, Aaron Dehring, Matthew (April) Dehring, Amanda (Troy) Peplinski, Adam (Margo) Dehring, Leah Solokis and Paul Solokis; seven great grandchildren, Tylor, Jacob, Willow, Isabella, Amila, Hunter and Traci Marion; one sister-in-law, Lois Kowalewsky and many nieces and nephews.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Gerhardt; siblings, Donald (Mary), Lewis (Lucille), Raymond (Lois), Betty (Carl), and Robert; and a son-in-law, Don Dehring.

Friends may visit at St. Michael Lutheran Church in Belknap on Wednesday, August 13th from 10 a.m. through time of her memorial service with Pastor Paul Boerger officiating.

Inurnment will follow at St. Michael Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. Michael Lutheran Church or St. John Lutheran School in memory of Marion Brege.
