Marjorie Budnik
1926 - 2014Marjorie Jane Budnik, age 87 of Posen,
passed away May 21, 2014 at Rogers City Tendercare.
She was born September 1, 1926 in Posen
to Philip and Julia (Kierzek) Lewandowski.
Marge graduated from Posen High School in 1945. On May 21, 1949 she
married Frank Anthony Budnik at St. Casimir Catholic Church,
Mrs. Budnik was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and its
Rosary Sodality. Marge worked for many years with her family’s
business, Huron Oil. She volunteered with Hospice of the Sunrise Shore,
Posen Potato Festival, and the Presque Isle County Historical Museum,
Mrs. Budnik is survived by:
her husband, Frank;
6 children, Gregory (Bonnie) of Warren,
Susan (Douglas) Houseworth of Alanson,
Jeffrey (Marchelle) of Madison Heights,
Cary (fiancée, Lisa) of Temperance,
Philip (fiancée, Michelle) of Grand Lake, and Eric of Oxford;
10 grandchildren, Joel (Becky) Budnik, Anne (James) Gray,
Adam Houseworth, Matthew (Abby) Budnik,
Christopher Budnik, Michael Budnik, Patrick Budnik,
Nicholas Budnik, Alex Budnik, and David Budnik;
6 great grandchildren;
daughter-in-law, Brenda Budnik of Berkley;
2 sisters-in-law, Mabel Lewandowski and Loretta Lewandowski.
Marjorie was preceded in death by:
a son, Donald on November 15, 2008;
siblings, Loretta (Louis) Wozniak, Chester (Gertrude) Lewandowski,
Ervin Lewandowski, Elmer Lewandowski, and
Irene (Gene) Passino;
daughter-in-law, Joann “Toni” Budnik.
Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday from 3:00 until
8:00 p.m. where the Rosary Sodality will lead the rosary at 6:30
followed by the parish wake service at 7:00 p.m, with Fr. Stan Bereda
conducting,
Visitation will continue on Saturday at St. Casimir Catholic Church from
12:00 p.m, until time of Mass at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz
and Fr, Stan Bereda officiating.
Interment will take place at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to Hospice of the Sunrise Shore
or a charity of your choice,
