Mark Purol

Mark Allen “Squirrel” Purol age 40 of Hillman passed away unexpectedly on September 10, 2026.

He was born in Rogers City on October 28, 1985, to Arthur and Kathleen (Nowicki) Purol.

Mark graduated from Posen High School in 2004. He helped local farmers with bagging corn and apples during harvest time as well as helping the Posen Chamber during the Potato Festival. He assisted the Hillman football team with gametime activities. Mark dedicated is life to his boys.

He is survived by two sons, Landen and Jaden; mom, Kathy; siblings, Brenda (Tom) Kortman, Lisa Centala, Kevin (Stacy) Purol, David (Carrie) Purol and Penny (Wayne) Seiler; nephews and nieces, Jared, Aidan, Kristen, MaKayla (Alex), Madison, Ashlynn and Mya; and the Johnson Family.

Mark was preceded in death by his dad, Arthur; brother, Michael; nephew, Nicholas Centala; grandparents, John and Theresa Purol and Aloysius and Virginia Nowicki.

Friends may visit at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Posen on Thursday, September 17th from 10 a.m. through time of Mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. Don Geyman officiating.

Inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Mark’s family of a charity to be selected later.
