Martin Schultz

Martin Theodore Schultz age 86 of Moltke Township passed away at home on October 24, 2020.

He was born November 29,1933 in Moltke Township to Arthur and Hattie (Wiesegart) Schultz.

On June 21, 1969 he married Dawnette Lee at St. James Lutheran Church. He and his brother Leonard formed Schultz Brothers Builders in 1974 and worked together for over 30 years. Martin enjoyed working on his family’s farm, working in the woods, cutting firewood, gardening, feeding the birds, visiting with everyone and telling his stories.

Martin is survived by his loving wife, Dawnette; daughter, Cindy (Carlos) Gonzalez Diaz of Heber City, Utah; son, Brian Schultz of Fife Lake; 2 sisters, Ruth Altman and Esther Nichols, both of Millersburg; and a sister-in-law, Lucy Schultz of Moltke Township.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Hattie; three brothers, Harold, Leonard and Philip; and a sister, Harriette Appie.

Memorial Visitation is set for Friday, November 6 th from 5-8 p.m. at the Beck Funeral Home. Memorial visitation will resume on Saturday at St. James Lutheran Church in Moltke Township from 10 a.m. until time of his memorial service at 11 a.m. Christian Schultz officiating.

Inurnment will take place at St. James Cemetery with a luncheon to follow in the church fellowship hall.

Memorials may be given to St. James Lutheran Church or Hospice of Michigan in memory of Martin Schultz.
