Marvin Lyle Redmond

14 June 1928 – 6 March 2024

Marvin passed away peacefully from this life into the loving arms of our Lord.

He passed away with his loving wife and daughter at his side in their home in Topinabee, Michigan.

Marvin graduated from Hale High School in 1948 and received his Mission Degree from Detroit Bible Institute on 28 May 1954.
Marvin was a Bronco Buster during the summer of 1946, a cabinet maker, a builder, and skilled woodwork, most of his life, and a Time Clerk while going to college. He worked as a missionary from 1954 – 1963. Marvin was a Pastor of various churches from 1963 – 2022 at which time he retired from Oden Community Church in Oden, Michigan.
In 1983 Marvin and his congregation decided to build a church in Topinabee, Michigan on land donated by Nette Bell Dague and Miles Whitman. They name the Church Berean Bible Church and with the help of family and church members it was completed in 1985. Marvin spent much of his time in Topinabee being a witness to everyone he met and running his gun shop in the barn.

Marvin is survived by his wife of 43 years, Meribeth Dawn (Meggitt) Redmond, Son Timothy Jon and his wife Martina Redmond. Three daughters; Diane Marie (Redmond) Smith, Kathleen Ann Redmond her husband David Quin, and Barbara Susan Agnes (Redmond) Heyser. Adopted daughters; Susan (Seymour) Lacross her husband David Lacross and Sheryl (Seymour) Viviano her husband Mike Viviano. Nephew Lon Alan Leblanc, 21 grandchildren, 29 great- grandchildren, 5 Adopted-grandchildren and 10 Adopted-great-grandchildren.

Marvin was predeceased by his son Theodore Wayne Redmond, parents Theodore Orra Alanzo Spencer Redmond, Stella Josephine (Simons) Redmond, sister Dorothy Lemoyne (Redmond) Leblanc and niece Debora Marie Leblanc.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 13th at 10am, followed by the Service at 11am, location will be at the Indian River Baptist Church on Hemlock Street.
