Mary Goupell

Mary Evelyn Goupell age 98, a lifelong resident of Posen,
passed away at home on July 19, 2016,

She was born April 5, 1918 in Posen
to Peter and Josephine (Wozniak) Przybyla.

On May 22, 1944 she married Edward C. Goupell in Independence, Kansas.
Mary taught in the rural Posen schools for 6 years, and then after her
children were grown she worked in the office at the Posen School,

Mrs. Goupell was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and its
Rosary Sodality; she was also a member of the Posen VFW Auxiliary.

Mrs, Goupell is survived by:
5 sons, Dale of Alpena, Dennis (Sally) of Posen,
Duane (Vivian) of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Patrick of Posen and
Richard (Donna) of Grand Lake;
8 grandchildren and
13 great grandchildren,

She was preceded in death by:
her parents, Peter and Josephine;
husband, Edward; and
all 16 of brothers and sisters.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home in Rogers City on Friday
from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. where the Posen VFW Auxiliary will lead the
Rosary at 6:30 followed by the Parish Wake Service at 7:00 p.m.
Visitation will resume on Saturday at St. Casimir Catholic Church in
Posen from 9:00 a.m. through time of Mass at 10:00 a.m, with
Fr. Arthur Duchnowicz and Fr. Stan Bereda officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. Casimir Church or
Hospice of the Sunrise Shore in memory of Mary Goupell.
